A linear cassette adaptor (test fixture) from 6TL is combining the advantages of a linear movement with easy, fast and low-cost changeover from one product to another.

Housing models are available as “stand alone” fixture solution or including a VPC Mass Interconnect ITA (S6, G12 or G12X)

The 6TL0X range are flexible linear cassette adapters, with a solid hinged top plate on an ergonomically shaped rugged housing.

The reliability and accuracy of the contact between the test pad and the test probe in a test fixture is mainly determined by the mechanical construction used to bring the two together. In the 6TL0X Test adaptor series the linear push down construction is therefore designed using solid aluminium parts.
By means of ball bearings and a specially designed sliding bus we constructed a linear system with an accurate linear movement of 15mm. This allows PCB’s to be contacted from the top and bottom simultaneously. The wide base housing provides enough space for easy access to the wiring, additional electronics or mechanics. The back side and bottom side of the housing can be adapted to different test system interfaces, custom configurable cable or connector interfaces, professional Mass Interconnect interfaces from VPC (S6, G12 and G12X) as well as solutions for most In-Circuit Test systems. The ESD safe cassette is easy removable and has a large usable working surface, up to 580x250mm.

Based on the standard concept we also developed different version that includes an interface between the cassette and the base unit, these are the models 6TL02-ICO / -VPC4 or 6TL03-ICO /-VPC04 / -VPC06 with ICON or 90 series Mass Interconnect interface.

With these systems it will be possible to exchange the cassette, dedicated to your product, in one simple and easy movement. The ICON interface is set-up as such that all possible signals in functional test can be routed through this interface. This can range from pneumatic, coaxial, power up 120Amp, signal, fiber optics, USB or LAN connections. The four available modular interface slots can be configured in many different ways to always suit your exact needs. The modules and contacts we use are from VPC (Virginia Panel Corporation) ICON series Mass interconnect Systeem which is developed to connect and disconnect minimal 20000 times without any signal degradation.

6TL02-ICO Interface with up to 640 test points.

This guarantees over the entire lifespan from the cassette and base test fixture or smart-fixture an error free connection between the UUT cassette and the measurement system connected to the fixture housing.
The 6TL02-ICO or the 6TL03-ICO has a simple locking system one the front of the system that enables you to quick and easy connect or disconnect and replace the test cassette.  (Also view the video below this page about these systems).

SMALL LINEAR ARM FIXTURE’S

For small projects with up to 50 to 100 test probes and PCB sizes from 85mm x 85mm, not bigger then 125mm x 125mm we can deliver the LHS range of linear test fixtures.

These small test fixture kits are ideal for programming PCB’s or reliably contact small PCBoards designed to be tested with boundary scan only or in combination with additional functional testing.

The linear mechanical pushing mechanism guarantees that the PCB will be pushed on the bed of needed in a linear way without damaging the PCB testpads or the tips of the test probes.
