The Multiplexed Measurement Unit (MMU) contents a powerful subsystem for 16 isolated, 500V data acquisition channels with capability to direct control of external switching and expandable with its CAN bus port.

The device can measure with auto ranging, selecting the scales that will give better resolution or in the fastest way, fixing the range with the measurement command. It can perform the most common general purpose measurements: AC/DC Voltage and Current, Frequency, Resistance, Capacitance and Diodes, with auto zeroing and automatic DC calibration.

Whit its integrated high voltage switching, contiguous channels can be connected to different power supplies or grid phases.

The two isolated push-pull channels of digital pulse generator can be selected as independ-ent mode or as a encoder emulation (90º Diphase), with setting for phase invertion. In independen mode there are four settings: Start (Sinchronized and not sinchronized), Pulses (Continous or burst), Frequency and Duty Cycle (% time ON) per channel. In encoder emulation all the settings are the same but the Duty Cycle, fixed on 50%). When sinchronized mode is selected, the pulses starting in the Trigger In up transition, when no sinchronized, pulses appering just when the command have been decodified. As the pulses are isolated, must be powered with the most convenien voltage for the requiered operation.

This module is a complete pneumatic plug&play sub-system, controlled by USB or CAN bus.

Thanks to 10x 3-way microvalves, 10 simple effect or 5 double effect actuators can be controlled. The board has also 12 inputs to monitor the position of the actuators (PNP).

Coils are powered in a way that once activated, the power consumption is reduced to avoid self-heating of the device.

Control through the PC is more easy thanks to the included pressure sensor. Some programmable static relays are available to set the operational limits.

Two logic inputs placed opposite to the VPC connector are to cut the air inlet when the system detects fixture extraction, the signal can be given by a simple switch inside the VPC receiver.

The board has also outputs to control 4 auxiliary coils (two in the connector side, two in the opposite side) and an analog output to control a proportional valve.

The board can be controlled through CAN bus or USB and is delivered with all the necessary software to use it in a Test stand or LabView based platform

The YAV90CLR module is the most cost effective and accurate automatic LED test device for both Brightness and Color. It has a calibrated RGB light source as a tool for colorimeter channels calibration or optical head dust detection.

Each optical head has an aspherical lense in order to correct the missalignements with the LED under test. A plastic optical fiber lead transfers the light to the ITA connector and the RGB matrix sensor via a temperature controlled (IR compensation) mirror chamber. It have a selectable setting for DC or PWM LED power supply.

The incoming light data is processed in parallel and compared with the OK/NOK desired levels and the results are transferred to the test computer via CAN bus or USB.

The board uses 90 series connection modules and can operate stand alone or be mounted on an standard Virginia Panel receiver.

The supply includes National Instruments LabView virtual control panel and operating software for a true Plug & Play operation

Boundary-scan is a widely practiced test methodology that is reducing costs, speeding development, and improving product quality for electronics manufacturers around the world. By relying on an industry standard, IEEE 1149.1, it is relatively quick, easy, and inexpensive to deploy a highly effective test procedure. In addition, today’s PCBs have little alternative because of limited access to board-level circuitry.

Production test is an obvious area in which the use of boundary-scan yields tremendous returns. Automatic test program generation and fault diagnostics using boundary-scan software products and the lack of expensive fixture requirements can make the entire test process very economical. The YAV9JTAG and YAV9JTAH are BSRU (Boundary Scann Resource Units) and has been developed for products that contain BGA IC’s, edge connect-ors and digital interfaces that are not visible from the boundary-scan chain, and provide a low cost alternative to expensive digital pin electronics.

With the YAV9JTAG boards set, you will improve reliability of your systems by increasing analogue, digital and interface test coverage, reducing your debug time by enhanced fault isolation.

The use of its build-in USB/JTAG interface as a JTAG probe, you have open all the hardware Boundary Scann possibilities, from BS component pins reading and writing to SDRAM/SRAM/Flash Memory Test and programming.

The YAV91501 uses so called reflective switches that are not terminated. This version has no 50 Ohm resistors implemented for the unused ports, therefore it might reflect the RF signals back, this effect can potentially damage the RF equipment.
An advantage of not terminating these ports is that the insertion loss will be lower for this model.

The YAV92501 uses so called absorbative switches that are terminated with a 50 Ohm resistor on the unused ports to avoid back reflection of the RF signal, when the channel connected to the load is open.
Note that when the load is closed, as consequence of the added 50 Ohm resistor is that the switch will not be able to handle its full power.

The YAV90132 has 28 independent operating switching relays and 4 normally open relays with one common:
• 1x 28 relays with common contact (NO and NC)
• 1x 4 relays with normally open contact with one common

A typical application is signal routing in automatic test systems, where it is imperative to ensure a real disconnection of one signal before the injection of another one.

The availability of the three contacts (Common, NO and NC) offer the configuration of different switching combinations, from tree type to matrix type switching, with total maximum current up to 5A.

The board is controlled by a for pole connector containing the 24Vdc input, to power the board and all relays. The same connector contains also the two Can bus lines to control the YAV90132.

The module features a logic address setting by means of a set of dip switches. A maximum of 64x YAV90132 boards are possible in one test system.

A virtual software panel, that can be used with National Instruments LabView® or TestStand®, is available to simply integrate the instrument into the test sequence.

A unique YAV90128 module is able to do all combinations of signal computation at low frequency between the device under test and the various measuring instrumentation inside a test system.

It is organized in 4 lines of 16 relays and 8 lines of 8 relays each, with contacts that can be configured as scanner or matrix, individually in each test fixture. This configuration possibility makes it ideal to be used in automatic test systems where maximum flexibility is needed.

Only a 24VDC power supply is needed to power the board, wired at the back 4 pin connector together with the CAN bus port.

With its 192 pin Quadra paddle connector it has dedicated inputs to automatically identify its position in the test system, in case more modules are mounted.

It has CAN bus control and all the software needed to be used “Plug & Play” in systems based on executive software LabView and TestStand.

3. Description and main features

The YAV90063 module contents 32 DPST Relays forming four banks of 2-Pole 1 to 8 ports. All the banks common pins are connected with a twine contact that makes easy to configure the options of:

• 2 x (1 to 8) + 1 x (1 to 16)

Joining two or more YAV90063 modules, the multiplexer can be increased until cover the test requirements.

Typical application for the YAV904X8 are Isolated measurements (no reference to GND) performed by DMMs (2 or 4 wire). The board contains four groups of eight relays each; these can be configured either as a 32 position scanner or a matrix.

The board is powered and controlled by a four pin connector containing the 24Vdc input to power the board and all relays.
The same connector contains also the two Can bus lines to control the board. All relay outputs are isolated from the power supply.

The module features a logic address setting by means of a set of dip switches. A maximum of 64x YAV904X8 boards are possible in one test system.

A virtual software panel, that can be used with National Instruments LabView® or TestStand®, is available to simply integrate the instrument into the test sequence.

“YAV91616 board is a general purpose 60 MHz BW analogue signal matrix. User can switch 12 called “audio” inputs to any of 16 outputs and 9 called “video” inputs to any of 16 outputs. The electric conditions for all inputs are to keep the range of 0 to 5 Volts and same condition for video inputs. Voltage range for all otputs are 0 to 10 V with high load impedance and 0 to 5 V with 50 or 75 Ohm load. The board can be used with any video format including Hi Definition analog (DC to 30 Mhz) but can be used with other kind of signals that meet input voltage an Bandwith specs.”

The board YAV91616 is a software controlled multifunction device that features two switching matrixes, one dedicated to audio, the other one to video, and an analog signals generation system with configurable voltage levels.

This device can send the signal that is presented to any of its available inputs (12 for audio and 9 for video) to any of its outputs (16 for audio and 16 for video). In addition, any of these analog outputs can supply independently a reference voltages over low or high impedance charged lines.

The module features a logic address setting by means of a set of dip switches. A maximum of 64x YAV91616 boards are possible in one test system.

The control of the module is through CAN bus. The supply includes National Instruments LabView virtual control panel and operating software for a true Plug & Play operation.

The YAV90HVT is used as an automatic CAN bus controlled floating AC/DC true RMS digital volts/milliamps meter with built-in scanner, able to work directly in appliances and industrial mains powered electric/electronic equipment.

YAV90832 inputs and outputs are sharing the common of the 24Vdc power supply. This common must be connected to the DUTs common.

Analog inputs accept up to +30V voltages with an acquisition resolution of 10 bits +1. They are protected up to +50V.

Digital inputs are organized in groups of 8, conforming banks. The first bank has 16 inputs while a second one has 8 inputs. Each bank has a terminal to set the trigger level. The board has two reference outputs (+2,5V and +5V) to be used as trigger level, in a direct manner or through a voltage divider.

Digital Outputs are organized in groups of 8. Each group has an independent supply voltage pin. They can work from +11VDC to +45VDC, sourcing up to 600mA. Failure monitoring for each group is available.

6 outputs can be used either as powered digital outputs (from terminal 89 to terminal 96) or as modulated outputs: additional four analog ports (from 57 to 60) and four PWM ports (from 61 to 64) are available. When modulated outputs are being used (analog or PWM), the logical status of the digital outputs will be a squared wave which is ON time proportional to the value of that modulated output.

Digital inputs 21-23 and 22-24 can be set as incremental encoder inputs (two channel 90º quadrature, up to 1MHz)

The 96 pin of the VPC Tri-paddle connector of the YAV90096 board, are software configurated input/output, selectable as current source or sink for electronic loads.

To keep its compatibility with the active boards of the YAV family, the power supply and CAN Bus signals from the tri-paddle connector, are connected to it corresponding pins, through the set of jumpers JP1.

Each one of the 96 connection pin can be can be programmed as current source, selectable between 2 or 16mm, an at the same time as an input of a comparator with a fix reference of 4 Volts, and also to an impedance adapter, commutable into a bus to one analog to digital input of the microcontroller.

Voltage of current source outputs can be programmed between 5 to 20 VDC

The YAV90084 can work autonomously as a 10Ch electronic potentiometer of 8 bit resolution. By default, it features 10kOhm resistors), but other resistor values can be assembled under request.

The module features direct connection from two National Instruments cards, the NI PXI-6723 (Static and Waveform Analog Output — 13-Bit, 32-Channel) and the NI PXI-6345, (16-Bit, 500 kS/s, 80 Analog Inputs) to the mass interface module (Virginia Panel), meaning that when in combination with the named cards, the YAV90084 will feature 10Ch current sources, and 10Ch analog outupts.

The YAV90ISP standalone in-site programming interface has been designed to simplify and standardize the wiring in testing platforms that use fast ISP and/or I2C / SPI data communications.

All active lines, included power supply and GND are switched by a relay barrier, allowing the ATE system perform FCT when completed ISP. The relays are distributed in blocks and can be controlled either by the ATE system or the ISP controller. With some hardware arrangement, the interface can behave as a multiplexer, extending the number of targets.

The YAV90ISP allows the user to multiplex from an ISP for one target, which can be be enlarged to up to 16 direct or 32 multiplexed targets.

Thanks to using the YAV90ISP, all the fixturing strategy can be standarized from the programming point of view, since the interface will force the position of the programming lines of whatever programmer the platform is using

The YAV92501 uses so called absorbative switches that are terminated with a 50 Ohm resistor on the unused ports to avoid back reflection of the RF signal, when the channel connected to the load is open.
Note that when the load is closed, as consequence of the added 50 Ohm resistor is that the switch will not be able to handle its full power.

The YAV91501 uses so called reflective switches that are not terminated. This version has no 50 Ohm resistors implemented for the unused ports, therefore it might reflect the RF signals back, this effect can potentially damage the RF equipment.
An advantage of not terminating these ports is that the insertion loss will be lower for this model.
