This module, named “6TL-MMI Lite version”, is designed to be the interface between an operator and a SYSTEM as well as being a metered power distribution unit (PDU) for it. The module is providing also safety controls, data bus interfaces, temperature control and timers.

The 6TL-MMI is suitable for any ATE, and specially for those based on CAN bus controlled devices, because in addition to the above functionalities, this module is also providing galvanic isolation up to 1500V for the CAN bus. This isolation will block potential disturbance towards the DUT.

The 6TL-MMI is powered from the grid through a bipolar switch for providing power to the Un-switched bus, and through an emergency stop with safety relays to provide power to the Switched bus.

The Switched bus is used to provide energy to the DUT as well as to all the power supplies that will be used to power up the DUT. The Unswitched bus (Two 10A Schuko plugs) is used for powering the control computer through a UPS.

The module includes a universal input DC power supply of 24VDC 8,3A with a thermal fan control. The 24VDC power outputs could be interrupted for energy saving while the system is in Stand-by mode or for resetting the modules.

The 6TL-MMI can be also used by the SYSTEM operator to choose options through the executive SW, or for starting/terminating the test execution.

The intelligent Power Distribution Unit (PDU) H7300.08xx has two main functions:
• Distributing the power to each device in a system
• Switching on the devices sequentially, in order to minimize the inrush current from the switched power supplies, that might affect the contactors.

The PDU has electrical monitoring of the load status in order to ease troubleshooting and maintenance tasks:
• There are two light indicators per socket, to inform the user about:
o Whether the plugged devices main switch is turned ON. This is helping to identify plugged devices with their main switch OFF, that therefore cannot be controlled by the PDU
o Whether the power for the socket is ON. Therefore, (P ON) indicates that the PDU is giving power to the device.

All the relays are CAN bus controlled.

The unit has an extra power terminal block in order to extend to other units (connect more PDUs).

It has 4 slots, so it’s configurable to meet your specific test system power needs (in addition to the set-up example shown here).
All output power is available via the back of the unit using a VPC mass Interconnect I1 or Icon interface.

FastATE van 6TL is een concept voor engineers die zelf een testsysteem willen bouwen. Voor engineers is er niets leuker dan zelf te ontwikkelen., maar dit is niet altijd verstandig. Vaak ontbreekt de basiskennis en ervaring en ontstaat er een groot gevaar in de vele valkuilen te stappen bij het ontwikkelen van een testsysteem. fastATE is een techniek die u als engineer in staat stelt een ideaal test systeem te construeren zonder het gevaar van de vele valkuilen. Het fastATE concept bestaat uit vele modules waardoor de opbouw van een testsysteem net zo eenvoudig wordt als iets bouwen met Lego.
